Many times we tend to end reading a book at the last chapter, risking losing very interesting ideas. Sinek's book, in fact, hides a personal and exclusive thought on Leadership within the afterword . Understanding what characteristics make a person a true leader is not at all easy. Adjectives such as charismatic , persevering , astute are often used to describe his qualities . Instead Simon focuses attention not so much on the character of a Leader but on what he manages to convey to his followers . The true Leader, according to the author, has the vision of a world that does not exist but above all knows how to communicate it to the people around him. Its function is not to command but to inspire people to work in a team pursuing the objectives transmitted by the company values. Do we recommend this book? “Starting with Why” by Simon Sinek inspires the reader to look behind the scenes of companies. It pushes us to focus attention on the ideas that a company wants to convey and not on the innovations that the products bring with them. In some places the stories of successful brands take over the entire story with the aim, perhaps not always achieved, of providing examples to follow.
Personally, I recommend reading it to those who love ethical marketing , those who put values first and not profits.
